You are right- it WILL get worse. The push is coming not just from those who hate Christians, but also from the education “elite” who still hold to Dewey’s statement that you can’t make a good socialist out of individuals. Not to mention, of course that private schools and home schoolers turn out kids that are so far above the public schools that it is a public shame for them.

We are witnessing an effort by the left to make belief in Christ ‘socially unacceptable’ - and the next step will be to punish any public display of Christianity, under the false claim of it being ‘intolerant and hateful’ (Just look at the article’s seething accusation that the Christian School that Pence’s wife teaches at, ‘gasp, doesn’t allow homosexuals to serve in the school’ as though that is hateful- (They are pushing for public outrage at this point- trying to paint Christians as intolerant and hateful- this is the first step- the next step will be laws against Christian beliefs) and their ultimate effort is to drive Christian schools out of existence (ie underground)

We’re not quite there yet- but we are seeing more and more seething, hateful efforts by the left come to the surface-

_Jim's point about the education of one's children being a God-given right should be the FUNDAMENTAL issue under this discussion. Many times people argue on the statistical outcomes as a justification - concealed carry is a good thing because of the deterrent effect, for example, as well as HSed children being "smarter." In reality, even if HSed kids were dumb as dust and gun owners tended to have higher than average arrest records, that would (should?) not negate the legitimacy of the right.

I've seen some dumb gun owners and frankly not all HSed children are 4.0 students. It doesn't matter. I would still argue vociferously for their right to KABA and that parents should be able to educate their children unencumbered by the state.
