I never really got the “fried chicken” jokes. I am almost as white as the Pillsbury Dough Boy, and fried chicken is good eatin’. It’s also great with hot sauce or BBQ. Watermelon’s pretty tasty, too.
In a normal world, that comment would not offend anyone. Black or white. But in a normal world a college kid appearing in blackface 25 years ago would not offend anyone either. We do not live in a normal world and havent for a long time. Fire Bill Maher.
So Maher is simply repeating what he heard from a black intelligence officer. It doesnt help being a Jewish liberal as much as it used to. The rest of the Left is not about to tolerate any criticism or facts that even look like vaguely like aspersions coming from Jews.
Democrats probably agree with Maher. The racism thing is a game to them.
The Democrats made the rules, we’re just following them.
The Left can never “racist, even when making blatant racists statements. Plus he was making fun of a black republican,
Double plus good.
I view Bill Maher as the same as I would as a used condom on a subway platform, walk around it and keep going.
And crackers are a tasty addition to soup. And with cheese, yummy.
Agreed. I don’t get it.
I love Popeyes! And turnip greens. And collards. And cornbread.
So true. And this is why it is with great satisfaction, schadenfreude, when we see liberals being hoistered on their own petard.
Somewhere back in the old days, fried chicken and watermelon became stereotypical foods supposedly eaten in big amounts by black people. I don’t know where it came from, but the association between blacks and these foods is out there.
And Bill Maher can get away with this because this congressman is a Republican. It’s as if black Republicans aren’t really considered black by liberal imbeciles such as Bill Maher.
If he had said something about a black Democrat, then that becomes a crime against humanity.
I never understood it either, but apparently the fried chicken and watermelon stereotypes were meant to be insulting. Plenty of white people ate both, even decades ago, so where is the racial insult?
I'll also note that in my life in the DC - Philly - NYC corridor I've observed that predominately black neighborhoods all have several choices for fried chicken readily available.
But making any sort of conclusion that black people like fried chicken is obviously racist.
Ok, lets be real, folks.
Its OK, hes a Democrat, and the joke was directed at a runway Black Slave from the Democrat Plantation, so no harm, no foul.
Just ask anyone in the media that wants to remain employed about this.
He says, nonchalantly,”The president is a traitor” but no biggie there, though.
...”the presidents a traitor.”
I’m beginning to see a pattern. Post-partum abortion is OK, insensitive yearbook picture a career killer.
Lobster used to be considered similar. Now people pay a fortune to eat them.
Fried chicken is one of my very pink self’s favorite foods! My American Indian husband’s, too. But Bill Maher knows the reference he made is considered, for whatever reason, highly racist. He delightfully says racist and otherwise inappropriate things all the time, and gets away with it, because it’s almost always said about a conservative. So he gets a huge pass.
Post-partum abortion is OK, <<
Wish I was his father..Id abort the stupid ba$$turd right now....
