GWB had us go in there in the first place because Afghanistan was harboring the terrorists who took down the towers. OK, revenge against the Taliban — I get that. But Afghanistan is always going to be harboring a bad element, so we can never ‘leave’ unless we change our minds about GWB’s reasoning. I think we’ve all reached that point.
