Yes, the nickname could have a completely innocent and non-racist meaning. However, if he were a Republican just that nickname alone would be enough to automatically sink him. The media would report it 24/7, the GOP would grovel and apologize, there would be riots in the streets. Maybe we should hold the left to the same rules they hold everyone else to.
