I don’t know why so many Freepers thought this guy would skate from this. Anything smacking of racism is the gravest possible sin amongst Democrats.
The only reason he is toast is that the election season has started, and candidates have to one up each other flogging him. If it weren't an election year, they would rally around him, the media would let it slide, and we'd forget about it in a day.
Especially since he has a black Lt. Governor to take his place.
