So the political, financial and media elites have taken beatings at the ballot box -- Brexit, Trump, anti-establishment European rebellion parties. The 1990s elite projects and policies were not crazy, but their failures to make course corrections and their lack of respect for decent nationalism have been costly. Something to talk about if they slink back to Davos next year.

LOL! Srsly Mr. Barone. Stooping to being humble is just not done by 'then' in this world. The next, they may have a little problem. And they will be jetting in to Davos again next year without a doubt.

Leaders of Government and Business meeting for days to lay out blueprints. Refusing to let the voters know what is being discussed in the government/business partnership because they get no voice. This is a literal definition of fascism. Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. ― Benito Mussolini

And we see the merger with tech company censorship. We are told “but it’s a private company” as it executes plans on behalf of, and in coordination with the Government.
We see it when Google and Facebook engage in voter suppression in coordination with Government.
And the 1500 private jet arrival is a farce when they lecture us about global warming.

Why is John Kerry there? He is not a world leader, he is not a business tycoon, he frankly is nothing more than a fop who married money. Why is he there?

If they were capable of humility now they wouldn’t be in this fix, would they?
To: rktman
So, are they finally admitting that they had secret plans for us peons?
Up till now, if we mentioned it, they accused us of seeing black helicopters.
Is Barone just seeing those black helicopters now? Can Barone prove that the elite ever had a plan?
Us peons want to know, lol.

Rather than a futile effort at inculcating ‘humility’ in that globalist cabal, a better argument could be made for Davos as an ideal site for a neutron weapon test.
