Barf.
“city of Atlanta, the capital of hip hop innovation.”
Are they sure about this? Are they sure thats not just a tv show?
The current iteration of professional sports is not going to survive the tidal wave of demands for ‘racial justice”.
Since the 1960s, courtside seats in the NBA and crazy fan behavior at NFL venues has been a way for the white stockbrokers and surgeons to act out being down with the struggle.
Once the players make it clear that the people who pay the bills are their enemies, and once cable systems no longer send hundreds of billions to ESPN from households that don’t watch sports, what we have now is not going to work any more.
I was speaking to a friend whose band had a gig opening for Coe. At a biker bar.
When their set finished and the Coe fans showed up the band fled the premises immediately. And so did the bikers!
One might - MIGHT - think that such tactics are the very reason the FCC exists to resolve.
Who?
I still have a few DAC cassette tapes from the early 1980s. Since I quieted down a bit and got my yahs yahs out,the are just sitting in a shoe box.
Never watched a Half Time show...and never will.
“Jay-Z....”I said no to the Superbowl/You need me, I don’t need you,”
Why he thinks the Super Bowl needs him?
When I turn on the game, it’s because I want to watch the game. During half time I’m usually doing something else.
“Isnt Up With People available?”
Geez, you must be old like me. In 1967 UWP was meant to show that young people hadn’t all gone hippie freaks or New Left.
“Which way, America?”, and “What color is God’s skin?” were their trademark tunes.
“Which way to Vietnam?” was more my theme.
They could get Milli Vanilli.

Sunday is my birthday and I will spend it celebrating with my family, eating homemade tacos and playing with our granddaughter. Supposed to be 72 degrees here on Sunday.
The Super Bowl, a mostly hyped and over-rated game every year, will not be watched. No one in my family cares, including myself.
More important things do.
I much rather watch the UEFA Champions League final.
They made up for that by getting two foul-mouthed rappers.
Why do they need a band? Why not Dave Chappelle?
$19.95! But if you order right now, you get two for the price of one!
I saw him at Billy Bob’s in Ft. Worth once. He started his show by reciting his prison identification number from when he was incarcerated. Guy next to me started reciting his as well. Heck of a concert, though. Afterwards, he signed autographs for anyone that wanted one.
And get REM to reunite.
I was just thinking the same. Everyone switched over to watch those “In Living Color” shows back then because THEY WERE FUNNY. Now, heads would explode because they made fun of gay people, and everybody else. Even Jim Cary was on that show as Fireman Bob.
