There is no Federal law on requiring you live in the House district you represent, as far as I know. Though most do.
Glad to be corrected if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

Tom Daschle lived with his lobbyist wife outside of DC and claimed Sourh Dakota residency at his elderly mother’s home in Aberdeen, SD. He didnt live in SD the entire time he was in Congress... just showed up to campaign at county fairs and coffee shops in jeans and a cheap shirts to claim being a South Dakotan.
