Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was Stephen Colbert's guest on Tuesday's Late Show, and at his request, they began the interview with tequila shots. "Where do you think the wheels came off during the shutdown?" Colbert asked. "The president blew it," Christie replied. "When?" Colbert asked, and Christie answered: "When he shut the government down with no plan on how to reopen it." Christie said he warned Trump beforehand that "if you're going to do this, you'd better have an exit plan." That obviously didn't happen, "and he got goose egg," Colbert said. "Yes, in politics, we call that getting rolled," Christie said.

Chisty ha no chance after meeting obie at the airport oh that beach pic when his state was shutdown.
When he was first elected governor, he stood up to the teachers' unions, which got him many a kudo;/ OTOH, everything else, he did as governor, was TERRIBLE! He raised taxes, he put lefty and Muslim judges on the bench, slobbered over Obama and Sprigsteen, and worse....ALL before Trump threw his hat into the ring!
Hence my post about being "uneducated".
My daughter lived in New Jersey when he was governor. She didn’t like him one bit.
Christie, the fact that you don’t know POTUS’s plan regarding the shutdown doesn’t mean he doesn’t have one.
Always these boozers who feel more qualified to drive than the sobber guy.
Christie got behind Trump during the election. For that, I’ll give him credit. But he was bypassed by Trump for any significant role in his administration because his past was too shady. Those are the breaks, Christie. Having him in the administration would have been a massive headache for Trump. Too much baggage, and the Democrats would have had a field day challenging his credibility over his shady past.
It would have been nice if Christie didn't answer when directly asked - or even if he had said Trump is a better president that he would be - but how realistic is that?
Like Christie says: In politics, shots are fired every day, and the people who fire a shot at you today are people that you have to work with tomorrow.
What a fool he is.
He just insulted the only demographic group that buys books.
The Left doesn’t buy books, he!!, half of them can’t read.
Christie was a bust as a governor, a bust as a republican, a bust as a presidential advisor and finally, a bust as an author.
Not many did; those who had voted for him soon had “voters’ remorse”.
Souinds like sour grapes. People like Christie and Romney play the whore to try to snag a position with Trump. They’re rejected and this is what happens.
Micheal Eat Moore could have been his VP.
When he lowered the flag to half staff for the druggie singer...that was it for me.
We dodged a HUGE bullet!
Chris Christie and Ann Coulter should have starred in the new “Laurel and Hardy” movie.
Big guy’s 15 minutes is up.
I supported him for president up until President Trump announced. Trump was the better candidate in my opinion.
However, I will point this out, Bridgegate was the blueprint for Russiagate.... Think about it. In the end, the both are the same, have the same goals, and will sadly, have the same results.
Anytime we use whatever fake media scandal to bash one of our own, even if one of our own isn’t our most favorite guy, we are helping the media take us with others that we do like.
The big difference is that Bridgegate actually happened.
Says the media
Remember Christie Closed the George Washington Bridge right?
Except that didn’t happen
Remember Trump colluded with Russians
Except it didn’t happen
Bridgegate had nothing to do with Bridges, it had everything to do with destroying a man
RussiaGate had nothing to do with Russians, it had everything to do with destroying a man
Change the bridge to Russians, closing to collusion.... Crap
Geesh golly it is the same thing!
