.17 HMR is an awfully light load to be taking down a deer, isn’t it?
Not when it enters the ear canal on one side and either plays “Bounce off the inside of the Skull Handball” or exits the other ear or an eye. The shot was usually between 10’ and 30’. I never checked the Ballistics at that distance but it does the job. Also none of the Meat or Internal organs got tore up. I’ll pass but I know many eat the Heart, Liver, etc.
