Super Bowl Sunday will feature an unexpected confluence of three powers rife with conflict: mainstream media, the NFL and President Donald Trump.
CNN reports that Trump will sit down for an interview with CBS Margaret Brennan on Friday that will air during the networks pregame coverage of the Super Bowl.
While mainstream media and the NFL have routinely maintained a symbiotic relationship, Trumps disdain for both is well-documented.
As Trump has routinely used media attention around newsworthy moments to make his case for a border wall, it makes sense that hes taking advantage of a Super Bowl audience as he seeks to promote his message.
How much CBS and Brennan challenge Trump on his message is yet to be seen. Whether he uses the platform to launch another attack on the NFL will also be of note

Why would Trump allow SeeBS to record an interview on Friday, then edit for consumption on Sunday? Why? Beats the heck out of me. These are not people out to make the President look good.

"I personally dont see a single drawback."
You're assuming that they'll play it straight and not edit the crap out of POTUS' answers. IMO, that's NOT a safe assumption.

“What is a super bowl.”
It is the final game of the season where an NFC team plays the New England Patriots for the Championship of the National Football League.

She will throw him softballs because the advertisers will demand it. If she goes after him, people will tune out the game meaning advertisers will have spent millions of dollars for a smaller audience.Very astute observation. I don't think the advertisers will warn her in advance, but she will likely be mindful of game ratings.

Why do so many here continue to underrate Trump” Can’t for the life of understand what it feels like to have despair as one’s primary outlook on life...especially when being positive and rooting for Trump would be so much more productive.

They should do a split screen with Romo anticipating how he's going to answer the next question.
"Jim, the President is going to take that one to the house and say she must be off her meds again."
