California Sen. Kamala Harris (D) on Sunday officially kicked off her 2020 presidential bid. She gave a speech in her hometown of Oakland, with her messaging focusing on unity and equality.

“With faith in God, with fidelity to country and with the fighting spirit I got from my mother, I stand before you today to announce my candidacy for president of the United States," she said. "I'm running to fight for an America where the economy works for all people. For an America where you only have to work one job to pay the bills."

Harris' campaign message is focusing solely on running "for the people." Signs could be seen that said "Kamala Harris for the People."

You are correct Sir! I see that this quote is often attributed to Lincoln, but Rev. William J.H. Boetcker is correct. Thank you for correcting my faulty research.

Yea, I love how they start out with this and ‘faith in God’ when they’re running for election!

I guess they don’t like to start out with I’m a baby killing Communist slut

I don’t know how to articulate it, but some people (even people I disagree with and likable)

Bill Clinton and Obama both were VERY likable, even if you disagreed with 100% of what they said.

Hillary was VERY unlikable. George W Bus - very likable, McCain - unlikable, Reagan - likable, Mondale - unlikable, Dukakis - unlikable, Kerry - unlikable, Gary Heart - likable, Perot - likable, that Beto guy that just lost in Cruz in Texas... very likable (and Cruz is lucky he was running against him in Texas) The fact is .. the most likable candidate almost always wins.

a Jamacian-India anchor baby raised in a socialist country, returns to America, sleeps around to get appointed to a power position, and wants to be president of America. Who even gave her the idea that she was remotely qualified under ‘natural born’ ?

“Yea, I love how they start out with this and ‘faith in God’ when they’re running for election!”

I was wondering just how “godlike” Harris thought it was when she was boffing Willie Brown.

I’m thinking she was thinking this was her best political opportunity....to prostitute herself.

The only time they mention religion is when they’re trying to get elected

Liberals hate Ted Cruz. That says nothing. They are going to hate him whatever he's like. But when conservatives and apolitical people can't take Cruz, that says something about his likeability.

So with Obama and Harris. Conservatives aren't going to like them. Liberals are predisposed to like them and ignore the things conservatives don't like about them.

But many apolitical people could stand Obama. Some people who voted for Bush before Obama and Trump after Obama actually voted for Obama.

Harris has much less appeal with the apoliticals. Swing voters don't find her all that likeable.

But throw enough insults and innuendos at her and she just might go far with voters.
