That is not the objective, i.e., a warm water port in Venezuela. The Russians are still close allies with Cuba. They could always reopen their naval base in Cuba that was closed in 2002.
Oil is the strategic interest in Venezuela, which is a major exporter of oil and has the world's largest supply of proven reserves. Iran and Russia are working closely with Venezuela when it comes to oil exports to control prices. Cuba has a major presence in Venezuela, which is their major source of oil. Venezuela is a member of OPEC.
Watchin the russkies and Chinese fight over Africa is kind of amusing
Given the natural resources in Africa, specifically oil and gas, I find it disturbing, not amusing. The Chinese are trying to corner the market on oil, which they need to import in major quantities.

IT’S THE DAMN BLOOD THINNER!!!
Those severe dizzy spells, and hand to God I was close to death, are NOT because of some rogue vitamin K. It is not a normal side effect.
I had Warfarin, now Eliquis, and your wife had Xeralto. All three cause “:some” people severe dizzy spells.
And it do seem like the Cardio guys are unaware.
I began talking to some other people who take blood thinners, Xarelto, Eliquis, Coumadine. They tell me they eat lots of green vegetables and have no horrible side effects.
I suspect that there are people like me and your wife perhaps that are especially sensitive to the nasty vitamin K, which are really FBI agents roaming your veins to arrest your body for “process crimes”.
This Friday I begin with the Cardio guy, who, by coincidence, loves my writing and who got one of my more satirical letters and hey, it gets me to the head of the line.
Good luck to your wife. I wish someone else could experience those dizzy spells. I always vomit uncontrollably after I have one. Then a week to get over it. This is not an acceptable side effect for a medicine.
And no one figured it out.

Yes, All organizations - any large co. you have your upper managers - some of whom are useless, some of whom are evil and then some like Microsoft's founders start out OK and stay OK, and others like Facebook's Zuckerburck may start OK but turn into the Stasi/Gestapo - Same with Goole's leadership

He looked to be positively joyful for the “failure”.
