ANALYSIS — It took 35 days, but President Donald Trump ultimately caved to Democratic demands that he reopen the government before they’d entertain negotiations on border security. And in 21 more, Trump will have to decide whether to give in again, because he’s not likely to get what he wants.
Trump agreed Friday to back a three-week continuing resolution that will reopen the government through Feb. 15. But he is not giving up on his quest to secure funding for wall along the southern border.
“We really have no choice but to build a powerful wall or steel barrier,” Trump said as he concluded remarks from the Rose Garden announcing the deal to temporarily reopen government. “If we don’t get a fair deal from Congress, the government will either shut down on Feb. 15 again or I will use the powers afforded to me under the laws and the Constitution of the United States to address this emergency.”

It’s not even all that much her constituents, as the Dems have spoken in support of fencing, etc., for years. It is mostly the party operatives who 1) are importing new voters ASAP, and 2) want to give Trump no victory on anything — in solidarity of all the Deep State Swamp Creatures.
President Pelosi is hell-bent on have a weak border so all of our families can be threatened by illegal immigrants, just as long as they vote for Democrats. Border Patrol should give them maps to Pelosi’s huge house where they are welcome to stay for free.
We lost several hundred people in the Katrina hurricane. Several hundred in Houston. Several hundred in the fires in california. We , it is said, we lose more people due to drugs coming across the southern border. Why could trump not take some money from FEMA, some from the military budget.....spread it out....and apply it to the fence. Is this not an emergency?
I wonder if there is any talk within house democratic caucus of relieving her of her duties? Doubtful... but perhaps. They have less than 3 weeks to do it.

They may indeed use this tactic. It will not have the support of the people behind it though. The people may be uninformed, misguided, or ignorant but not stupid. This has been played out in the media so everyone can see how the obstructionist communist dems have been a brick "wall" in negotiating for better border security which involves a real barrier.
Frankly, at this point, I think the communist dem pols like UpChuck and Piglosi along with the two or three muzzie congressmen should be thrown in Gitmo for their crimes of treason. Mad Maxine and Al Greene too.
Our biggest problem other than the commie dem pols/rats is the enemedia. They have gone full communist and dropped all pretense of being unbiased. They are the enemy of all freedom loving Americans.
Even better if they don't ask and go into a total psychotic break about the White House using a cheap political trick of posting an image of Trump's dream wall to further the agenda.
Let them get thoroughly worked up for a couple days before blandly saying “That’s Nancy Pelosi’s big, beautiful wall. It's protecting her Estate. She doesn't believe we little people deserve a wall to protect our states.”
There should be an “Opoid Death Clock” with updated numbers every day until money is appropiated and secured for the Wall.

I think there's a reason they chose 3 weeks rather than, say, 2 or 4 weeks. It's enough time to get those furloughed back to work and getting a couple of paychecks and also to keep the economy from going into a dive. This President, being a lifelong businessman, is very aware of the effects of government on the economy. He didn't want to be the cause of a downturn so for whatever reason; the 3 weeks was chosen.
My gut belief is he is giving the commie dem rats enough rope to hang themselves because they publicly promised to negotiate wall funding in good faith if the gov was fully opened. Now they have reneged on their word for all to see. They are literally hanging themselves and it's a joy to watch.
I also believe President Trump will use every tool in his tool chest to bypass this obstructionist congress to get done what we all want; getting the damn wall built. I've read he has other constitutional means besides declaring an emergency so I guess we shall see what Trump has up his sleeve in a few weeks.
That's exactly what she needs and deserves.
When things are going in a bad direction, gridlock is the next best thing to turning around and going in the right direction. And, like in a car, sometimes you have to slow down and stop to turn around.
When did he cave? I have yet to see that. It clearly wasn't when he gave his speech in front of the WH yesterday at 2:35 pm ET. Show me when he caved and what he said. For your edification I have included the speech.
The bright side for all of us is that none of us are married to her.

I'm quite sure Trump has been told by McConnell (and Pence) that that is a red line he cannot cross.
