If you are in your 40’s or younger, I’m not surprised that you have not heard of him. His prime for movie theme writing was the late 50’s through the early 80s. You might recognize some of his music, such as “Windmills of Your Mind” from the original Steve McQueen & Faye Dunaway movie “The Thomas Crown Affair.” He also wrote the music for the original made for TV movie “Brian’s Song” about Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers of the Chicago Bears.

I think he wrote the score for Summer of 42 which is beautiful.

He wrote great theme music for many movies over the years. His most memorable ones were written in the 60s and 70s. Two of my favorites are
What are You Doing the Rest of Your Life" from a forgotten Jean Simmons movie called
The Happy Ending and
The Summer Knows from
