We need a wall from sea to sea. I’m not settling for excuses, and nobody else I know is. We expect a wall, and we better get one.

The reason I supported and argued for the president very early on in the campaign was this idea of the wall and that Mr. Trump pointed out two of the major problems preventing America from being the country we remember 1) Poor leadership 2) Political correctness. He eloquently made the argument that we were being had by corrupt uniparty deep state elitests and then silenced and shamed about addressing any of the repulsive consequences of liberalism via a form of self-censureship

Mr. Trump then went on to accurately describe the ugly blow back from illegal immigration - then he did something that was totally unexpected he proposed a real solution to the problem - as in hey thats fixed what was a big deal no worries its fixed. Whats more is it seemed like a very plausible straight forward attempt to solve a real problem, and it seemed once he broke it down very doable, I mean who really wants to put a fence it seems like a lot of work but once you get to it before long you have a fence around your house and you get the benefits for years to come.

The reaction from the establishment was and has been to this day a conniption fit never seen in size and scope of all of recorded human history. That the citizens of this nation should secure and defend its borders and not just let anyone who pleases willy nilly there ass in here, is such a controversial issue so opened the eyes either consciously or subconsciously of enough people that a first time for anything candidate jumped out from a crowded field and was able to secure the presidency.

Just like he did by identifying two of the biggest problems 1) Poor/corrupt leadership 2) Political Correctness he brought attention to another of our biggest problems - securing the border.

This is the issue that resonated and propelled him through the primary, general into the Whitehouse and it is because illegal immigration, human trafficking, slavery, drugs, terrorists sneaking in are truly real and significant problems its not like president Trump made this up.

President Trump is where he is because he promised to be tough on border security and his solution was a wall. This is the deal we made with a rookie politician - We are going to build a wall ... and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Most of us on this board are pretty cynical at best when it comes to politicians if not you should be what threads are you reading? We understand maybe Mexico won't pay for the wall, it was great political theater watching the libs go ape and so what if we pay for it and it works at least we would have fixed this border problem - hell I think most of us agree that the wall will go a long way to fixing the problem but there is still going to be work to be done. That work is going to be easier once we have the wall.

There has been a steady erosion of the idea of a great big beautiful wall from sea to shining sea - from 20.1 billion dollars - we can spend trillions on shithole countries like Afganistan but we can't find 20 billion for our defense - really. Then we were down to 5.7 billion now we aren't getting anything. An extraordinary measure is going to be needed in the form of a presidential declared national state of emergency to do something the American people have been needing/wanting since 1986.

We get it that he is alone against these globalists that was the plan - he wasn't bought - and he knew just what a bunch of wanker losers they all are just as we see them. This border security via a wall is something that if it was truly desired to fix the problem they'd have done it - none of them want the wall.

Further we know the gist of why 1) Votes 2) Cheap Labor. We wanted a wall we voted for a wall Trump promised the wall - this is his biggest campaign promise it embodies so much - It embodies keep faith that our government is on ourside and is beholden to the governed - its a physical solution to a real problem and a huge achievement by the person who is able to say "Fixed It".

What I heard from the president today didn't sound like the wall that we were sold on - one that would work. Further he stopped the shutdown, got no money and will have declare a state of emergency. Otherwise he reneges on the core of his presidency, base, issues and its all over. I don't want it to be all over - I want my wall damn it wah!

I think we’re all pretty much on the same page there. Sadly, when all is said and done, where else do we go?

We used to say that about Republicans. Now we pretty much can’t say it about much of anyone except Trump.

He’s the only one that seems to get it, that our very nation is on the line.

Will it cost him the presidency? It may. It may not. I know it’s trite, but there really is only so much he can do.

I recommend him declare the emergency and simply build the wall. After Nancy playing like she’s the bull dog, it will be fitting when he simply slaps her down and the wall gets built, over her objections.

My comments here, are intended to touch on he issue of us needing him to be re-elected. We simply cannot allow him to seemingly lose any issue to the point that folks think he betrayed them.

It was a squeaker in 2016. We’ve got no room to spare.

He must do the wall, or we may in fact be looking at some Democrat that will essentially end the nation we love.

As for Republicans in Congress, I wouldn’t give you a 100 year old racoon coat soaked in bat guano for the whole lot of them.
