Washington (CNN)The White House is preparing a draft proclamation for President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency along the southern border and has identified more than $7 billion in potential funds for his signature border wall should he go that route, according to internal documents reviewed by CNN. Trump has not ruled out using his authority to declare a national emergency and direct the Defense Department to construct a border wall as Congress and the White House fight over a deal to end the government shutdown.

What I’d like to see is the military being deployed to stop the invasion, and being given “invasion” rules of engagement.

It would mean the issue is dragged through the courts and nothing happens.
President Trump is right to try to get the needed votes in Congress. The political cost and outcome would be very high and lengthy to try the emergency route.
I am betting that Trump rolls out the plan to pull funds from government sources when he gives his SOTU address. He alludes to it in his Q+A with reporters in the CNN report.

wall finding. Playing them to show what
he has said all along. They’re
obstructionists. They don’t care about
the furloughed workers, or America’s

The way I get to what is the right thing to do:
There already is 1 or more caravans that came to our borders, and I guess they all got in... or most... which was not legal.
There are 7+ thousand heading toward our United States southern border tonight.. which is not legal.
The dems won’t cooperate in stopping this...they won’t vote for the wall or anything... they want them all to come in. We don’t know who they are and they are not welcome this way.
The reasons behind NOT getting the illegal immigration fixed, is purely political..
So do whatever and however the President has available to get the wall DONE ASAP. !

When thy finally want to negotiate and get their act together he can reconvene them.
Right now may as well as pelosi has no heat on her to do anything different. They also cant get anything terrible done if they are adjourned.
