The day after the end of the NFL season, when teams fire allegedly underperforming head coaches, is known as Black Monday. This year that nickname was a tad too on the nose. Of the seven NFL head coaches fired, five are black.

The NFL players do not represent the racial makeup of the country. This must be changed.
Haven’t seen a minute of NFL since they decided to include displays anti-Americanism in their programs. Not a minute since 2015. Somehow I have survived just fine.
Second... so underperforming employees should be retained if they are the right color? Sounds like RACISM to me.
Don’t worry—the NFL has you covered—they have hired male cheerleaders.
Countdown to transvestite cheerleaders....10.9.8.7....
Welcome to Goodell land—the burial ground for a once great football league.
Zzzzzzzz
Meanwhile, the low number of World Chess Champions who are female, or who identify as female, must be addressed. Clearly there is evidence of systemic sexism at play.
And, the low number of crackers in the NBA is evidence of ....... what?
32 teams in the NFL and almost exclusively male. Black males compose roughly 5% of the general population. I postulate that if the number of black male coaches exceeds 5% (2), then the NFL is demonstrably NOT racist.
In other words, the NFL was not racist when it hire the five ex-coaches, but it is racist now because the NFL teams that they were responsible for, were losers, but its racist to hold them accountable?
Marvin Lewis had 16 years as the Bengals head coach. Not a single playoff win. Owner must be racist to get rid of ole Marvin.
The Browns were 3-36-1 under Hugh Jackson - the worst record of any coach in the history of the NFL. I can't believe the owner fired him. BTW, the defensive coordinator took over mid season, never being a head coach before, and the team went 5-2 under his tutelage.
Todd Bowles had four years with the Jets. The first year the Jets went 10-6. He then guided the Jets to a 14 and 26 record the next three years. His last year? 4-12. Racist owner.
The Cardinals got rid of Steve Wilkes after only one year. I honestly don't know the backdrop there, but apparently a defensive head coach, when breaking in a rookie QB may not have been the best idea. The Cardinals finished 3-13.
Last but not least was the Broncos Vance Joseph. Joseph presided over the first back-to-back losing seasons in Denver in 40 years, finishing his two-year stint 11-21. The year before Vance got there, the Broncos were 9-7. That 9-7 record got interim coach, Joe DeCamillis, released (Gary Kubiak resigned after week 6 due to health issues). Yeah, that John Elway sure is racist.
Mike Tomlin took over a recent super bowl winning club (2/5/06) when coach Cowher called it quits (1/5/07) for personal reasons. Following the 2008 season Tomlin won the super bowl. Its now been 10 years and what has Tomlin done? Disappoint the fans, that's what.
Percentage of employees in NFL?
Percentage of Asians? Whites? Native Americans? etc.
Head coaches come from Coordinators, which come from Position coaches, which come from players and others. How many apply.
Be scientific, not just run outcome based BS and statistics.
That organization is done so long as Tomlin is head coach. Herding cats like Leveon Bell or Antonio Brown is an art and obviously he ain’t up to the task.
They tend to punish black coaches if they happen to be Christians(Tony Dungee, Lovey Smith). Make up your minds SJW’s
The one that should be fired (Tomlin) wasn’t and probably never will be.
These coaches had terrible records and did poorly. They had multiple seasons to get things going right.
Just one to review.
Hue Jackson went 336 as Cleveland’s head coach before being fired on Oct. 29.
(The Browns then went 53 to close the season without Jackson.)
LOL!
