He didn’t give up the DACA stuff. He offered it, KNOWING they would refuse. (and if they accepted it then he gets the wall. Either way he wins. Now DACA is off the table as the democrats didn’t want it.
The democrats threw DACA under the bus. And I expect that President Trump will use that to separate the DACA issue from the border security issue entirely.

It’s not getting enough press (as usual) but they also threw unpaid government employees under the bus by voting down a bill that would have paid them before they return to work.
