He’s definitely going to have the families who have lost loved ones to illegal aliens. He should also have members of the Border Patrol, and some of our military heroes...like Brian Kolfage (Wall GoFundMe), and maybe some of the kids from Covington. The Dems don’t want these visual reminders of their failings. I’m just wondering if the Dems would boycott all together, and just not show up. The same imbeciles like John Lewis will definitely boycott. And if the shallow female Democrats show up...what color will they be wearing this year? Is there a color that shows support for criminal illegal aliens? Maybe they should wear pink in support of Cuomo’s approving the murdering of babies at birth. So many colors to choose from...so little time to decide.

Breaking new from “The Hill”, says Pelosi has doubled down and sent Trump a letter stating there will be no SOTU address in the House Chamber. It will not happen.
Pelosi loses no matter what she does in this. Now she looks like a complete moron and Trump s now free to make his next move which may well be a huge rally somewhere where he gives the address or he gives it from the White House. Either way it’s a win for him.

I must have missed this reply until just now. In the interim, I read an article this evening about the SOTU speech by Mark Steyn that was posted on FR. In it he cites the slamming of the door in the face of the Black Rod, so I did a search, and found the same wikipedia link that you provided in your response. And my thinking that the beginning of the practice was related to Charles I, was spot on.
