The boys did well but why were there no chaperones for over an hour or if there were, why did they not step in? Had I been a chaperone I would have detached that young man from his standoff with Phillips and tried to gather the young men to say the rosary. I get it that the buss was late and they were all tired but the chaperones failed big time.

A different group of boys or even one boy could have really been violence. That’s what they were hoping for.
The adults in the group were foolish. Because of their good deeds of the day for the unborn, God and Mary were watching and protecting them.
By all accounts, it sounds like the young men comported themselves very well.
