FULL TITLE: White House planning to proceed with State of the Union, but details up in the air after Pelosi threat
The White House is still planning to move ahead with next weeks scheduled State of the Union address, but the details remain up in the air after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi strongly urged the president to delay the speech or submit it in writing amid the government shutdown fight.
According to multiple sources, it remains unclear whether the address scheduled for Jan. 29 will in fact go forward, or what venue it would be in. The White House is even planning for the possibility of a speech outside of Washington.
We are still in a holding pattern, one senior source said.
But Fox News has learned that the White House sent a letter to the House Sergeant at Arms asking to schedule a walk-through for next weeks planned address. This comes after a previously scheduled walk-through last week was canceled at Pelosis request.
At the moment, President Trump intends to be at the Capitol next Tuesday to deliver his speech as scheduled, sources said. White House officials told Fox News they essentially are preparing for two tracks for next week's speech. The preferred track is an address, as per custom, at the Capitol. The second track is a backup plan for a speech outside of Washington, D.C.
Ultimately, whether the speech is given on the House floor is up to Pelosi. In an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley suggested the president could move the location of the speech should Pelosi block it in the House.
There are many ways he can deliver the State of the Union address, Gidley said on "America's Newsroom." Im not going to get ahead of anything...

Quidado Nancy...Quidado! That bright light you see at the end of the tunnel may just be the headlight of the TRUMP train!
.
Pelosey doesn’t own the capitol!
Its not up to her, its up to the constitution!
.
Maybe he can deliver it at the Capitol steps, if Nancy won’t let him in the door. He can offer that he shares her belief in secured points of entry.
My Money is on President Trump to trump the witch big time when all is said and done.
I think that is a great idea.
Madam speaker has secured the door of the house from the people and their president but refuses to secure the border for the people and their president.
Pelosi says the speech should not be held due to security reasons. Since when has she been concerned about security?
She’s doing this because she knows President Trump will give major butthurt to the Democrats before the nation.
I don’t know about you, but I’m stocking up on peanuts and popcorn and adult beverages for the speech.
More to the point
Section 3. He {P.O.T.U.S.} shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.
Do the SOTU from the White House already!
And, don’t give democrats or the media an advance copy of the speech. Democrats won’t be ready with a response for a couple of hours that way, and the networks are not going to wait around.
Too cold & TOO INSECURE.
ZTrump will give his speech—somewhere, without Pelosi’s permission.
HE WILL NOT LET HER DICTATE TO HIM ABOUT ANYTHING.
White House has many rooms.
Senate isn’t controlled by Nancy.
He WILL talk to the American people, even if Dems ignore him. They ere totally rude last year. Trump is a President for the people anyway-—not for the party,.
A month long partial government shutdown seems to fall under extraordinary circumstances
I’ll say this again:
I will thank God that I will not have to see the ugly speaker of the house’s face while President Trump speaks.
I don’t care where he gives it, just make sure you give it, Mr. President
Nancy and democrats don’t own the capitol. Congress just gets to use it to conduct business. The people own it. Therefore, Trump should not have to ask for permission to enter the people’s congress place of business.
Pelosi did not learn from the last smackdown she received.
It was such an embarrassment for her I almost felt a twinge of pity. But all I needed to purge such emotions was to think about her diehard devotion to baby killing, and these feelings immediately subsided.
Looking forward to smackdown number 2.

put a TV set on the speaker’s podium and broadcast himself in there from the WH to really rub it in her face.
.
Under Article II, the chief executive can call a session to order at will, any time.
Pelousey is deeply deluded.
This proves Pelosi isthreatening not a representative she is just a hater.
Apparently, as Speaker, she has the power to say who may or may not, address the House. If she forbids Trump from addressing the House, it will make her look like a vengeful tyrant, (which she IS) rather than the masterful leader she THINKS she is.
He should have the SOTU in the Senate chamber. The democrats just don’t want Trump to talk about his accomplishments.
