House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Blocks President Trump Entry into Capitol Building – Confirms State of Union Speech Cancellation…
It looks like Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi has no intention of allowing the House chamber to be used for a State of the Union address.
Speaker Pelosi has informed the House Sergeant at Arms that no executive branch official will be permitted entry into the Capitol building.
Earlier Fox News reported Pelosi cancelled a walkthrough last week, and a second request for reconsideration from the White House is expected to meet the same fate. The House Speaker controls who is, and who is not, permitted entry to the House floor. Until Speaker Pelosi calls for a vote to support a joint session of congress, the President cannot enter the chamber.
Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley discusses the status of the current shutdown negotiations and the likelihood a SOU address will have to take place outside Washington DC.

I thought of that, it wold be historic first ever. I can see a section on the side where Politicians are behind a protection glass, the president on stage and us Deplorables on the ground floor. LOL

If I were him I’d do about 10 of ‘em, with yuge crowds and lots of press coverage. Maybe do a drawing and give away free airline tickets to Brussels, a package of liquor like Nancy ordered, and about 1000 hamburgers.

The president can only adjourn congress if there is disagreement between the house and senate about an adjournment.
So the senate would have to vote to adjourn, and the house would have to refuse to adjourn, then the president could do it.
The democrats were being urged to do this to get recess appointments when Obama was president.
But I’m not sure what the point of adjourning congress would be, I think the strategy is to shame them into actually doing their jobs, not preventing it.
The people’s house. Off limits to the Executive branch. All out tyranny.

Separation of powers. You WANT to keep the legislative branch free of executive interference, so you don’t even allow any executive branch (or law enforcement) into the chambers without explicit permission.

Seems to me he can convene both houses for the extraordinary occasion for giving the SOU when some a hole is blocking the door.
If she persists, turn of the utilities. When the a hole exits, arrest her for impeding the normal operation of the government, after all, no one is above the law.
Well, POTUS could enlist the help of the USMC to gain access.
No Congress or Speaker can deny a POTUS access to ANY federal building.

Expose her childish behavior to the people.
If it can’t be in the House Chamber, how about the Senate Chamber and make all house members including Nancy stand for a nice long SOTU Address. Unless she refuses to attend then have a take with her name on it and show on TV the empty seat and all Trump to discuss what it means to be an “empty seat.”
If they can’t do it in the Senate, then rent a stadium somewhere and hold it there with lots of TV coverage. Assign Democrats the cheap seats.
Or maybe Trump can give the speech from within the White House and explain how he is trying to save money, while the Democrats refuse to negotiate.
The Democrats haven’t been this irrational since the Republicans freed their slaves.
