It is very difficult for a Democracy to avoid taking money from the rich. We are heading for a bi-level society in which a tiny percentage owns almost all wealth and income and the huge majority owns about 1-5%.

Two different worlds.

Doesn’t concern me at all how rich they are. What concerns me is the influence they have over government. THAT is what need fixing in our(not democracy) republic, not the tax rates. They always make a way for themselves to avoid a large portion of their tax burden - if no other way, by moving off shore. When tax rates go sky high, it is ALWAYS the upper middle class that gets pounded.

High government taxation is just another form of slavery. Rich folks still get rich by selling goods and services to the government. How do you think people in Congress get so filthy rich??? The rest of us become their slaves. Not “No”, but “HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. I have already been slave enough in my lifetime!!!

Two quotes to consider from Vladimir Lenin:

(1) The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of high taxation and inflation.

(2) The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency.

They have been working really hard for years to “debauch the currency”. That is why the Rats don’t bat an eye to deficit spend in a big way. High taxation is the road to communism . . . in double-time.
