“@2020fight claims to belong to a California schoolteacher. However its profile photo is of a blogger based in Brazil, according to CNN, which noted that Twitter’s guidelines explicitly prohibit “fake and misleading accounts.”
“Deliberate attempts to manipulate the public conversation on Twitter by using misleading account information is a violation of the Twitter Rules,” a Twitter spokesperson told The Hill. “
I call bulls#!t on this one. I would bet heavily that this WAS a real teacher, and that Twitter is trying to virtue signal this to their followers as Russian collusion, though they are using Brazil, of all places, to push this false narrative.
I will guess that this is a throw away account created by a Soros or David Brock organization, created to tweet things exactly like this to inflame left wingers. All this will do is force them to use one of their other 500 disposable accounts. Twitter must be forced to trace this to an IP address or something that can match to an organization.
I believe the identity behind the @2020fight is known to some people. It was not hard to dox the woman. She and her husband have scrubbed their social media, and her friends have mostly locked down their accounts as well. If I had to bet, I’d bet the lady being privately identified is the right one. I think she’s just a rabid anti-Trumper. Oh, and a teacher!!
