It sounds similar to the one Hubby bought for me several years ago. I had picked out a smaller one that I could move around but he insisted on getting this honkin’ big sucker. I’ve used it two or three times and he had to haul it out for me. With the tripod, it weighs 100 pounds!
Scott’s livestreaming the eclipse from Big Daddy right now. I don’t know if they’ll get a total eclipse there or not. I don’t think they will but it looks cool any way.

It was clear here a short time ago but thick clouds moved in just in time to screw us over. Seems to happen every time. They might move out again so I keep running out to look.
I’m watching it online in the meantime.
If he gets a good pic, you should post it so everyone can enjoy it. :-)
