GOP lawmaker pushes to derail Tlaib from leading delegation to West Bank
The Hill ^ | 01/17/19 | John Bowden

A Republican congressman is urging Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to block freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress, from leading a delegation to the West Bank, arguing that the trip would hurt U.S.-Israel relations.

Tlaib's planned delegation to the West Bank, which is set for the same time as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's (AIPAC) trip for new members of Congress, would be "inconsistent with our national values," Texas Rep. Brian Babin (R) argued in a letter.

"I am writing to express my extreme concern that a newly elected Member of Congress, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, has plans to lead a taxpayer-funded Congressional delegation (CODEL) to Palestine," Babin wrote in the letter to Pelosi.

"This action, from an outspoken supporter of the 'BDS' Israeli boycott movement and whose personal vitriol led her to publicly brag about calling our President a 'mother****er' to her young son, is both ill-conceived and inconsistent with our national values," he added, referring to Tlaib's much-publicized recent comments about impeaching President Trump.

Critics of the conservative-leaning AIPAC group argue that the trip for new lawmakers presents a narrow view of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, and Tlaib herself has urged her fellow members of Congress to meet with Palestinian activists to hear their perspective.

"I want us to see that segregation [between Israelis and Palestinians] and how that has really harmed us being able to achieve real peace in that region,” Tlaib told The Intercept in December. “I don’t think AIPAC provides a real, fair lens into this issue."

"It’s one-sided," she added at the time. "[They] have these lavish trips to Israel, but they don’t show the side that I know is real, which is what’s happening to my grandmother and what’s happening to my family there.”

Tlaib and fellow Muslim congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) are vocal supporters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which urges private entities and governments to avoid business with Israel's government due to treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

How does this not run afoul of the Logan Act?

No doubt they have some boiler plate ‘kerryesque’ spiel ready to avoid that. If I recall correctly, the Logan Act was only ever used one time and it’s been a long time since it was.

Perhaps Jesus said it best: “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” By the way, I agree with your tagline. I’m there already.

Nazi Pelosi NEVER has America’s interests or protection in mind. Want proof? Look at the terrorism sympathizers she appoints to intel and other sensitive committees! Nazi Pelosi is the ENEMY INSIDE THE WIRE.

Islam is the enemy of Western Civilization. Pelosi and Schumer are the enablers.

Naw, the only solution —which due to PC and a media supporting the enemies of The Republic— is to educate the American people just how real Islam as the enemy of America and Civilization is and that expelling them from our Republic is the only way to isolate their required jihad. The goal of Islam and islamics is to conquer for their demon god.

Why hasn’t Louis Farrakhan ever run for Congress?

Probably because as a Democrat, if he’d won a Congressional seat he would have stigmatized the Democratic party as the party of anti-Semitism.

That’s the role Rashida Tlaib is now fulfilling. And the more famous she becomes — such as by leading a delegation of Democrats to the West Bank — the more anti-Semitic the Democratic party will show itself to be.

Her true intentions are becoming known. She’s not in Congress to serve the American people at all. She’s there to use the power of the office to aid and abet the palescumians continue their terrorism. How can she possibly be trusted to view sensitive security documents and not think she’ll turn copies of them over to her muzzlime terrorist buddies, her TRUE constituents? Aren’t there laws existing to prevent members of Congress or other high offices from actually acting as agents for foreign governments?

Just wondering if the family name TLAIB (which I understand this Congresscritter obtained from her ex-husband) is derived from the same Arabic word as is TALIBAN. If so, I can hardly think of a more appropriate name for her.

Anyone out there with some knowledge of the Arabic language who can comment on this?

Right on target! BTW, this bitch only represents the views of a distinct minority of her constitients in her Detroit district. She won the Dummy primary with 32% of the vote in a multiple candidate race, then won the general election handily because she had a "D" next to her name in a one-party-district.

Heartbreaking, to see Americans put this in office. To lead any thing on, or to ISRAEL is a curse. Tragic.

I'm not an expert, but taliban is the pl. for talib, "student".

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Talib

Compare Hebrew spellings, the first four letters are the same:

TLAIB (from her wiki page Hebrew): טליב

TALIBAN: טליבאן

(In Hebrew, a student is a talmid, pl. talmidim.)

Tlaib shares root meaning with Taliban.

Arabic and Hebrew use ‘root ideas’, usually three letters. Stand-alone words that have those letters in order (almost always) have a related meaning. Changing vowels and prefixes and suffixes gives exact meaning.

It would be as if the English words BReaD, BReeD, BoReD, BRoaD, etc, all had related meanings.

We have a little Yiddish saying, “Lussem Gain” (roughly “Let them go”) which appeared in “Blazing Saddles” - Mel Brooks as the Indian chief who sees a covered wagon with a black family in it.

Well, let “Taliban Tlaib” and “Omer the Tent Wearer” go to the Palestinian territories. I WANT THEM TO GO. Nothing like showing the American voter (and my fellow Jews), what the damned Democrat Party has become and will continue to grow as.

The election of Moslem candidates to various city and state political/administrative positions is a relatively new event. Some are good, some are middling, some are bad, just like in every other group, but the two issues that make this new crop (Ellison, Carson, Tlaib and Omer, among others) is whether they are Moslems first, or Americans first.

The reason why this is a serious question is that if they are what I will call “hardcore or fanatical or extremist” (pick a word) Moslem, then they will have to follow the tactical tenent of “taqqiya”, a concept that says you not only can lie to a non-Moslem, but you must lie to them if it advances Islam.

If they practice this tactic, as well as support Sharia Law, which is not only non-American/constitutional law, but opposed to much of basic freedom, tolerance, equality, and pro-opportunity precepts of Western Civilization, then they are “agents” of a religious movement, not just individual practicioners of it.

Since medieval Islam is a militant, murderous, uncivilized expansionist movement that destroys in the name of “God” instead of respecting people who worship a different way, then those who promote it are barbarians from another century and should not be allowed to be in any federal (or state/local) political position.

Just imagine what would happen if a bonafided American Nazi won a seat in any high level legislature. The American communists, black caucus/NAACP/SCLC/Al Sharpton’s “Free Buffet” movement, Jewish groups, Christian groups, and veterans groups would be up in arms. Only the ACLU would support their right to be seated if elected honestly as an example of the “will of the voter”.

Pro-Germany political figures were voted out of office during WW2, as they should have been, but they were not thrown out/ousted from their seats until WW2 (though I have a hard time thinking of any one specific person).

The key issue here is “loyalty” to one’s native/naturalized citizenship country as the only “loyalty” that should guide them in the political arena. Islam, unfortunately in regards to expansionist Islam, merges the “political” and the “religious” into one whole concept of world view and way of life/behavior, and for the “True Believer”, Islam comes first no matter where they are.

Let those weird Moslem Congresswomen and man go to see the Hitler-admiring Abbas and his Nazi-loving Yasser Arafat “Fatah” movement. Better yet, let them go meet with the even more psychopathically fascist political/religious movement of Hamas for “balance”, hearing “all points of views”, etc.

When someone/organization says that they want to eliminate you, wipe you out, totally destroy your existence, first of all believe them and secondly, understand that they cannot be appeased, turned into moderates, or trusted.

The Democrats, with their long history of both having key members as members and/or hardcore supporters of the Soviet Union through its US affiliate the Communist Party USA, as well as supporting communist guerrilla and terrorist groups in Latin America (FSLN, FALN, FMLN and even FARC), Africa (SACP/ANC, Angola - FLPA, and Mozambique, another FLNM type abbreviation/name), the PLO in Israel/Jordan/Lebanon (Sen. Abourezk esp.), the Mad Mullahs of Iran, and the betrayal of the Kurds, moderate Iraqis and Christians/Yazidis in Iraq (and Syria), tacitly supporting the Taliban in Pakistan/Afghanistan by advocating withdrawal as a cover for surrendering the country to them, and the horrible genocidal betrayal of So. Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia to the communists, shows that the Democrat Party is the party of “genocide, treason and cowardice”.

Let the two “New Girls on the Islamic Congressional Block” go to see the Palestinians. IT would be the best gift the Democrat Party could give to the Republicans, conservatives, sane fellow Jews,Christians and Moslem, and to the conservative media.

Remember, 2020 is just around the corner and if the Democrats want to make “Treason as a year-round season”, let them (Lussem gain!).
