The presidents proposal was met with disdain from an array of top Democratic lawmakers. Many used the same language in their critiques, accusing Trump of holding the government and federal workers "hostage."

Pres. Trump has tried over and over but the cesspool resists.
The Dems havent even sent a bill to the President for signature.
Faux goes PMSNBC again
Of course they use the exact same language, they get their daily talking points from their Soros/Globalist handlers and dutifully recite them like the good little drones they are.
Trump should elaborate for the uninformed public why he is forced to use his veto power this way.
The Rats will not even produce a budget in the next two years. They will pull the old omnibus nonsense. It is doubtful it would get Senate approval with our President saying he will veto these. So expect even bigger and continuous government shutdowns all the way through the next election cycle.
Mitch has said his Senate won’t vote on anything that Trump wouldn’t sign anyway.
That's not exactly how it works when the Republicans control the Senate.
Then we need to start messaging that right away. The republicans passed 75% of the budget for the first time in how long?
And they will remain uninformed as A) they have no interest in truth and B) media outlets refuse to print facts.
All others, viz. those who cherish truth and facts, will find the story for themselves. Hence, Freerepublic.
The Dems filibustered the GOP bill. That puts the onus on the Dems to push thru an alternative.
BOTH parties have been refusing to secure the border for 30 years.
We would not have needed Trump if the GOP sided with the citizens and the rule of law.
Kind of hard to do when McConnell won't bring their alternative up for a vote.

The fundraising arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus doled out hundreds of thousands of dollars for luxury hotels, nightclubs and tickets to Las Vegas events during the 2018 election cycle, filings to the Federal Election Commission show.
During the cycle, the caucus's Bold PAC pulled in $9.5 million in contributions -- in reaction to President Trumps policies, said Rep. Tony Cardenas, D-Calif., who chairs the PAC, according to a report. Also in that time, the Hispanic caucus paid out more than $200,000 for catering, hotel stays and fees at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa, and Marina in Cambridge, Md. Them maybe the Dems aught to come up with a bill the president will sign. This is not rocket science.
Trump gave the democrats the bait and the took it by refusing the wall national emergency to ensue.
They should have thought of that before they torpedoed the GOP bill.
how come we never hear the word “obstructionist” applied to the democrats?
