I’m hardly targeting your wage and livelihood destruction. I’m just realistic about what’s even achievable right now. Wage growth in the IT sector has been stellar in the last decade while it has not kept up with inflation for those competing with the 10-20 million illegals who came across the border with limited skills.

That is true for certain IT specialty areas, but in general, the pay for most American IT jobs has barely kept up with inflation since 1999 - which was the first year that the H-1B floodgates opened.
