Perdue recalled over 68,000 pounds of organic chicken nuggets on Thursday over fears that they may contain wood, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Ready-to-eat Simplysmart Organics Gluten Free Chicken Nuggets that were shipped nationwide with a best by date of "10/25/19 and a UPC bar code of 72745-80656 were recalled, the department said in a release. Pictures of the possibly affected products can be seen here.
The problem was discovered after the departments Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) received three complaints that wood was found in the nuggets, officials said.
The department said that there were no reports of adverse reactions from anyone who has eaten the chicken and that anyone who was concerned about a injury or illness should call their doctor.

Big deal. There’s plenty of wood in “fiber-enriched” bread. Try finding any “multi-grain” bread that isn’t made out of wood.
