President Donald Trump sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter Thursday informing her that he was postponing her upcoming overseas trip because of the ongoing partial government shutdown.
The letter served as the president's response to Pelosi's letter the day before urging the president to either delay his State of the Union address or submit it in writing.
"Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed," Trump wrote. "We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over."

Pelosi also uses 89th Wing, military planes to travel home to CA whenever she travels. Trump could also ban the use of those planes for her trips to CA while the govt is partially shut down. She’d either have to get personal transport or stay in DC.
