He’s worried about getting re-elected.

Hurd knows better. They will disable sensors, shoot down drones and on and on.

So basically he works for the interests of government contractors.
Anything the next Obama can shut off isn’t going to work.

A drone ain't gonna shoot you down. A camera ain't gonna get you....as you head for the bushes.
But a wall with clear space will expose you long enough to grab your little a**.

So Hurd is in favor of a methodology that already has been tried and failed. Sounds more like a Dem to me.

I knew this was Hurd the Turd before I even clicked on to thread.
He is an Open Borders hack whose campaign ads were paid for by COC.

Drawing upon his years undercover and his work in the private sector, Mr. Hurd has a starkly different vision for the southwestern border: fiber optic cables, sensors, radar, drones...I wonder what his private sector involvement was? Was he involved somehow with fiber optic cables, sensors, radar, or drones?

No doubt his residence is unlocked and stocked with appropriate food stuff, cash on the table, car keys in the ignition etc, etc. If not, stfu.

All those can be switched off or dismissed by a dim administration. Not so a wall.

i.e. he's on the payroll of Gomint Contractors who want to build an electronic fence which will cease to be usefull as soon as the power switch is turned off.

Mr. Hurd has a starkly different vision for the southwestern border: fiber optic cables, sensors, radar, drones, increased staffing...All of which would cost more than a wall long term. Your sensors detect invaders; by the time you get troops to the location they've dispersed into U.S. territory. Increased staffing = more government jobs = more pay, more pensions, continuously.
Which cartel is funding his campaigns? 'Cause they're the ones who benefit most from lack of a barrier.
