OCEAN CITY, Md.- The Dough Roller in Ocean City is offering free meals to all furloughed government employees until the end of the shutdown.

The restaurant highlighted the U.S. Coast Guard, considering it is the only branch of the military that is not being paid during the partial government shutdown because it is part of the Department of Homeland Security. The company also highlights federal workers like the Federal Park Rangers in Assateague who are on furlough.

Starting on January 14, 2019, local Coast Guard employees can stop at the restaurant for one free meal, per day, per ID. All you have to do is show your Coast Guard Government ID at the restaurant.

Let them run a Tab and see who actually pays up when the Shutdown ends. I’ll bet about half will pay their Bills.

Oops, my theory excludes the fine Men and Women of the Coast Guard. I’m sure they will step up.

Besides, the Coast Guard should be part of the Military, not part of Homeland Security, which shouldn’t even exist anyway.

The Military is responsible for the Nation’s security.

You have to show an ID!
Isn’t that racist or something?

I support the Coast Guard. They are still working. But having to show an ID; isn’t that un-American:-)

Ocean City used to make fishing reels that would last several lifetimes. No idea if they still make any?
