The Senate Judiciary Committee opens its confirmation hearing Tuesday for former Attorney General William Barr to become attorney general again.
Is there no one eligible to become the next attorney general who doesnt have a more than 25-year personal relationship with Special Counsel Robert Mueller?

Me.
The message is that Mueller is irrelevant.
There is no need to attack a battleship that is out of action and not a threat
I agree, a nothing burger of a witch hunt that distracted our government for 2 years while we had the majority - well played by the Dems.
Mueller accomplished his goal, help the Democrats with the 2018 election
He will be put out to pasture
The media is already down playing his ‘report’ that is will be nothing
2 years of nothing, or was it? He spent 2 years tarnishing the president and helped the democrats win the house - mission accomplished
It was a way for them to do “investigations” with out having any authority to do them in the house.
It was well played
Trust Sessions!
I think one of Barr’s first tasks will be to conclude the Mueller investigation, but do it in a way that praises Mueller for his due diligence. This will align with Mueller finding no fault on Trumps part which will also exonerate Flynn. Mueller will have to choose his loyalties between Barr and Comey.
Ive given up on ever seeing justice served at DOJ. For two years I consoled myself, if only we could get rid of that aberration Sessions things would change. With the appointment of Whitaker it looked like we were in business. Is it possible that Trump was frightened into nominating the swamp dweller Barr by the hissy fit the left and stooge media threw about Whitaker? Im so disappointed in Trumps cabinet picks. Had Trump been this bad at executive appointments in his businesses hed be worth about what I am now.
I am stuned meself! Turtle might control this process...he might have told Trump he would get Barr through the Senate but that others Trump liked a lot more, with no Mueller connections, will not make it through.
My great preference is a new AG from a far away state, far from the DC swamp. And not Utah!
Bingo!!
Yep, Barr is another member of that incestuous cesspool that is Washington DC.
Who advised Trump on this matter? Or better, why would Trump even accept such advice?
He’s a swamprat creature! Someone is giving Trump VERY BAD advice!! You’d think he learned from all the swamp animals he appointed who have literally stabbed him in the back...THE WOSE one was that freakin idiot backstabbing ass SESSIONS..STUPID ELF!!
Trump might be good at some things but he is NOT always good at at making choices of selecting people for a high profile job.
I really wonder who is advising him and I am sure many wonder. I would not be surprised if Jared and Ivanka have a say.
When America needs a firebrand who will fearlessly fight, we find that the whole stable has come down with don’t look in my closet syndrome. The complete corruption of our government is either about to happen or Trump preparing a huge Trojan Horse for 2020. I tend to think the latter.
Man William Barr’s whole family are attorneys and work for the Federal Gov’t in some way or another.
Im shaking my head in almost stunned disbelief. Was there no one in America who could have been appointed who isnt Muellers BFF?

couple interesting notes from barr’s resume:
1973 - MA Coloumbia in China studies
1973 - 1977 - Clowns In Action (fresh outta college)
1989 - appointed DOJ AAG by dubya
I am still annoyed by the loss of two years by that waste of human skin named Jeff Sessions. The deep state had a lot of dirt on him to keep him under control.
The deep state likely has a lot on many in wdc. The place seems to attract the integrity-free, the psychopath and the dishonest.
The writing was on the wall concerning Whitaker. I think it had more to do with his board-seat on that shady company rather then his opining on cable news about the Mulleur investigation. He would have gotten the Kavanugh treatment. That's why Trump turned to Barr.
I can't blame Trump for not catching on to these treasonous plot. I'm thankful that he's gotten his SC nominees in. I'm praying RBG "retires" so he gets in the real tie breaking SC Judge.
And the market is up.
I don’t get it. Trump should have picked somebody like Larry Klayman.
