It is a “soft” coup since no one is trying to depose him with armed force. If it was a real coup attempt, they’d be killing those around POTUS, not prosecuting them for process crimes.

Actually it’s a straight up illegal coup d’etat..which doesn’t have to include the military as it can be an overthrow by the political elite apparatus ‘within the state’ against the existing government to unseat the sitting executive... which is what’s now happening.
