The Obama-era policy of integrating women into ground combat units is a misguided social experiment that threatens military readiness and wastes resources in the service of a political agenda. The next defense secretary should end it.
In September 2015 the Marine Corps released a study comparing the performance of gender-integrated and male-only infantry units in simulated combat. The all-male teams greatly outperformed the integrated teams, whether on shooting, surmounting obstacles or evacuating casualties. Female Marines were injured at more than six times the rate of men during preliminary training—unsurprising, since men’s higher testosterone levels produce stronger bones and muscles. Even the fittest women (which the study participants were) must work at maximal physical capacity when carrying a 100-pound pack or repeatedly loading heavy shells into a cannon.
Ignoring the Marine study, then-Defense Secretary Ash Carter opened all combat roles to women in December 2015. Rather than requiring new female combat recruits to meet the same physical standards as men, the military began crafting “gender neutral” standards in the hope that more women would qualify. Previously, women had been admitted to noncombat specialties under lower strength and endurance requirements.
Only two women have passed the Marine Corps’s fabled infantry-officer training course out of the three dozen who have tried. Most wash out in the combat endurance test, administered on day one. Participants hike miles while carrying combat loads of 80 pounds or more, climb 20-foot ropes multiple times, and scale an 8-foot barrier. The purpose of the test is to ensure that officers can hump their own equipment and still arrive at a battleground mentally and physically capable of leading troops. Most female aspirants couldn’t pass the test, so the Marines changed it from a pass/fail requirement to an unscored exercise with no bearing on the candidate’s ultimate evaluation.

They also understand only too well what’s awaiting them if they are taken capture. They also know if they are taken capture their families back home will want to kill even more Muslims, so they have a fore-hand knowledge of vengeance.
American woman? No way, no how do they understand what they’ll be facing. Ask the women who were taken capture in the past and we got them back. Oh. Snap. They cannot talk about what happened to them. No because they don’t want to tell the American Public what happened. No. It’s because they’ve been ordered NOT TO DISCLOSE what happened to them under penalty. My husband and I watch Senate/House Hearings when the females testified after coming back... we saw one girl explain that every way it was possible, they were raped... All of a sudden the hearings stopped and nothing further was heard. NO WAY did any administration want then (or now!) the American public to learn what American women in combat could expect.....

I believe you’ve listed the exact reasons the various militaries are having difficulty attracting recruits! I actually count Homosexuals under the Women Category....and the LGBT group as well.....
So. Women, Homosexuals/Lesbians, Transgenders, LGTB Community... remove them and you’ll have a far greater chance of building the military back up and to a greater Standard.

Some of the wounded people who visited our support rallies in front of the old Walter Reed Army Hospital would dissuade women from signing up.
One gentleman breathed through a stoma in his throat, courtesy of a friendly fire incident. He would smoke cigarettes using the stoma. He would only cover it when he wanted to say something, and the friendly fire had basically ruined his vocal chords, so his voice was quiet and raspy.
Another person who joined us on occasion lost one of his eyes, presumably in combat. He wore glasses, and the false eye was good enough that I really could not tell that he had one of those.
Another young man had a traumatic brain injury. He was OK on the outside, but on the inside, not everything worked right. And there was a woman I met, an army Colonel, who suffered with PTSD, considered in itself a war injury when brought on by war.
So the PC crowd would rather see women’s faces shot off than stand up for the manly art of protecting women from the worst of our activities. What else is new?

I favor keeping females out of infantry combat, too. What a disaster it will be when they show grievously wounded women coming home with faces half shot off, etc.
That our society isn’t allowed, due to PC/radical feminist dictates, to protect women from the worst things anymore is an outrage.

That is much clearer an expression of what you meant. :)
Though I do believe there are roles that women can do within the realms of the military, I also believe the country would fare much better with a separation of the genders within the military. If it came pushed to shove, I’d prefer no women in the military. There are logistical facets for my belief, most importantly the well-being and mental adjustment of the men in the military.
No matter how it’s addressed placing women in danger in any context will always affect a normal, well-balanced male. It ‘should’ bother a well-balanced male.
Train women to shoot and defend the homeland. Got no problem with that...like a Mama Bear looking out for its young. That would work towards protecting this country a great deal.
I do have to admit, I think on a personal basis, there would be great Sharpshooters from among the American females. LOLOL
America is definitely on the decline. Not being a Debbie-Downer here. But there is so much built-in stupidity in the government and operating machinery of the country that it should be more than obvious to all how this will end.
I don’t think even losing a war would be enough. We’d have to have a Red Dawn type situation before we cleaned house of the PC crowd.
