I never understood what exactly this guy did to be so demonized and ridiculed by the media to the degree that it nearly destroyed his career. Even still, why is his engagement drawing so much negative attention? What it is about him that they despise with such intensity?

He is vilified and hated (what outspoken TRADITIONAL Christian isn't these days?), but career destroyed? Not exactly.

Russell Wilson and Dew Brees are outspoken Christian QBs in the NFL, as well as Aaron Rodgers and a few others.

IIRC, Tebow is openly anti abortion and he is a Christian.

He also is famous for "taking a knee" during NFL games.

Not the cool/woke/hip way that Colon Kapernick takes a knee, Tebow was praying and, well, you just can't have that sort of chit going on in public.

They shamed him out of the NFL for kneeling in prayer and he went back to his second nation, The Philippines, and started the Tim Tebow Cure Center ... orthopedics for Filipino kids that can’t pay ... he’s an all around nice guy, born again Christian and now has a wet dream to sleep with ....
