To be honest, Reagan was taken more seriously because he won 49 FRICKIN’ STATES! That being said, Trump needs our support. If you get those emails or texts, send in $5 at least. Show your support for President Trump. It’s not like he’s not confident, but he needs your support much more than President Reagan did.

In 1980 Reagan won a decisive victory over Carter, carrying 44 states and receiving 489 electoral votes, to Carter's 49 electoral votes from six states plus the District of Columbia.
In 1984, Reagan won a landslide re-election victory, carrying 49 of the 50 states, while Mondale won only Minnesota, his home state, and the District of Columbia
Give Trump some time. He'll win more states in 2020
