Write to your Congressman and Senators (Vanity)

I am asking all Freepers to contact their federal elected officials, especially if the officials are Democrats and insist that they end the partial federal shutdown right now.

After listening to Rush L today, I got fed up with the shutdown and all the media nonsense going on. I agree that the Dem's are starting to weaken.

It is time to turn up the heat to HIGH on them. That is why today I contacted "my" entire federal delegation and told them in no uncertain terms to end the shutdown.

We all need to participate in the democratic process and become activists with our elected officials. Turn up the heat and make it uncomfortable for Democrats to continue this political game of chicken.

Trump has other things to concentrate on in fixing this government; China, N. Korea, Iran, the Federal Reserve Board, draining the swamp, preparing a real budget proposal for an entire fiscal year, figuring out who to replace Ruth Ginsberg with when she steps down or dies and dealing with a over-the-top special prosecutor.

I did it Wednesday. Rep is a Democr@p who knocked out a Repub for the seat. I expect a blah-blah-blah form letter back, but at least there is one person in her district on record to FUND THE WALL & I stated keeping the government shut down indefinitely was ok by me. I also added in some thoughts about sanctuary cities and the politicians who enable this lawlessness.

I just wrote this to Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, my senator. I intend to modify the letter slightly to go to Senator Timothy Scott. If all freepers concerned with politicians adherence to the Constitution were to send their senators a similar email/letter perhaps we could end the idea that religious tests are not to be tolerated. I am not a Catholic but this same type of test is being pushed against Mrs. Pence, the Vice President’s wife.

Article 6 of the U.S. Constitution states:

“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

Every senator has taken this oath or affirmation to support this constitution.

Senators Kamala Harris of California and Mazie Hirono of Hawaii during the confirmation hearing of William Barr in your Judiciary Committee hearing questioned Mr. Barr relative being a Roman Catholic and to his membership in the Knights of Columbus a Catholic fraternal organization.

As a citizen of the great state of South Carolina and one of your constituents I request that you file ethics complaints against both of these senators for violation of their oath to support the constitution as a result of their violation of section six of the constitution by incorporation of a religious test in their questioning of Mr. Barr.
