Officer Corona started her career with the Davis Police Department in 2016 as a part-time volunteer Community Service Officer. In 2018 she attended the Police Academy and graduated in July and completed her field training three weeks prior to the incident. She is survived by her parents. Her father had recently retired from the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office.
If we could both go back to 1966 and show 50 random people that picture and ask if that girl should be a police officer we would be laughed at and perhaps taken to the loony bin.
Call me old fashioned. Policeman is a mans job. Fireman too. Also marines and army
That said Im So sad for this lovely lady and her family
...I also do not approve of almost any modification of our flag.
I agree.
“The call came into Davis police just before 7 p.m. Thursday, a three-car accident near 5th and D streets that by any measure would be considered routine.”
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Appeared to be a ‘routine’ accident call .... typically not a 2-person call. A domestic situation would be an example of where 2 officers respond. There likely were additional officer(s) on the way to help her sort it out, direct traffic if necessary, etc. The two most dangerous situations are domestics & traffic stops although officers have to be prepared for anything all the time, but being new & with less experience, being caught off guard is more likely.
I used to work police dispatch/radios.
10-4 , thanks
Odd. In the medical systems I work in (a major one) hispanics are Caucasian, and there is a separate checkbox for “Hispanic” that has to be checked off.
It is the only “Race” with another identifier.
alteration of the flag, or the wearing as clothing, is not supposed to be done
per US code on flag etiquette of long ago
appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound
Long as the wound is fatal - okay however it is inflicted; on an unrelated event I am always happy to see LEOs saving the state funds.
Going on twenty four hours and the identity of a dead perp that killed a cop is still not released? Thats because if he happens to be an illegal, it will be explosive.
Davis CA is a self proclaimed “Sanctuary City”
I’ve been searching for his name relentlessly.
*Nothing*
...stiil no name of the “suspect”
A policewoman ‘s blue striped flag
Let’s take stock of the politics of it...
1. Last week just 2 hours south of Davis, another young, immigrant super new rookie officer was gunned down and killed by a Mexi gangster
2. Just over the border from San Diego are hordes of illegals demanding US entry
3. The longest gummint shutdown in US history has THE WALL as a focal point
4. Davis (where this happened) is a sanctuary city
5. Davis is a suburb of the liberal city of Sacramento, the capitol of the most liberal state of California, famous for having the most immigrants in the USA
6. California is sanctuary STATE
7. The new Governor began his term just days ago
ALL these things combine to crush details regarding the killer’s background.
Could he be “really” white?
Yes.
22 years old.
Just a baby.
Is it because this would give President Trump even MORE ammunition?
Well, it would be two cops killed within ten days in California, a self-identified SANCTUARY STATE, by two illegals. The border wall is front and center right now and it would be devastating for the open border argument.
The man pinning the badge on her is her father, a lifetime law enforcement officer.
