Ocasio-Cortez passed over for influential House committee

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t get a seat on the powerful tax writing committee where she sought to push her progressive agenda of Medicare for All, free college tuition and a green new deal.

Instead, the open downstate New York slot on the House Ways and Means Committee went to a moderate Democrat, Long Island Rep. Tom Suozzi, a former CPA, attorney and county executive.

Suozzi will assume the committee seat of Rep. Joe Crowley, the Queens Democrat Ocasio-Cortez defeated last year in a stunning upset.

yesterday, her campaign is fined and today we hear she’s passed over for committee. What did Pelosi’s daughter say about heads and platters?

There was a post here yesterday where we were discussing how AOC came out with her own response to the "Wall Address" by the President, one in which she appeared to undercut Pelosi & Schumer.

"What can [Pelosi] do if people want to hear what [AOC] has to say" this FR member asked.

This is what Pelosi can do.

I'm not backing Pelosi...I'm just hoping we see more of this. Pass the popcorn.
