President Trump looks weak. He should declare that emergency and start work on the wall. It's also a win. Then Chuck and Nancy will look weak. They won't have stopped the wall, and they'd still be keeping the gov closed.

It's not even two dimensional chess. President Trump should've declared that emergency when Nancy said she'd never negotiate for even some of the wall.

Trump may yet order the Army Corps of Engineers to begin construction under his state of emergency order. But the budget impasse needs to develop a little bit further. If the GOP senate begins to cave, I suspect the order will go out.
