Maybe, maybe not. But if you debt to society has been fully paid, then you should have all of your Constitutional Rights restored, including your Second Amendment Rights.
Either you're a member of society, or your not.
The 14th Amendment left that decision up to the states. Had it not clearly stated so, some damn judge long ago would have overturned every state law that restricted the ex-con vote.
Since society through a jury trial decided to remove criminals from society and lock them up in a cage, I have no problem at all with denying them the political right to vote. They proved themselves incapable of consistent civil behavior.
