I’ve received training from professional speech coaches, but no I am not suggesting he needs to do that.
I agree he was very good, but he can be better with a tweak here and there.
I have never seen anyone as effective as Reagan in that type of setting. I would recommend that he watch Reagan, and also JFK and Nixon, with respect to cadence and delivery for a speech given from a desk facing the camera, but always in mind that he needs to find a style as close as possible to his natural way of speaking.
Reagan had been on the radio, was a movie star, and on T.V.; of course he was good at talking/projecting an image etc.!
Nixon? He was good and yet, he had bad times as well, on screen.
Trump was just fine, tonight, but he has to figure out a way to "hide" his breathing pattern.
I agree. And fire the guy that mic’ed him up.
Reagan had a very ‘natural’ sense of humor he used widely to cut through the ice successfully. But the Dems today are so full of hate and bitterness any degree of humor fails to penetrate those barriers.
