I see it exactly the opposite. When it mattered, when he was the nominee and before the general election and with millions of listeners, he trashed Trump relentlessly.
We had a solid win, but it was no landslide. We were that close to President Clinton II. JMHO.
Levin endorsed Trump the first week in September, 2016.
He often defended Trump and sometimes criticized him from that point forward.
Even when Levin criticized Trump, he still said that his listeners should vote for Trump.
Exactly right...
And who was the only alternative?
He was working for Hillary Clinton, pure and simple.
I see it as you do: When it vitally mattered, he was with the enemy.
I think his repentance was largely of necessity, to keep his audience.
I knew exactly who and what Trump is for decades - and I was on the Trump Train the day he announced.
I have my issues with him, and will exercise my 1A Rights to criticise him (as I would any politician), but I am not surprised by his actions and successes.
That makes lowly me - and those like me - more savvy than the vaunted - and vastly overrated - pundits like Levin.
