And by the way, my point was not to criticize Levin for now supporting Trump, but for him criticizing Never Trumpers without acknowledging that he was once a card carrying member. He should go a little easier on them since he once agreed with them. We don’t need to hear lectures from someone who pretends he never believed the same thing.

I don’t have a problem with people changing their mind, but Levin was particularly nasty, and wrong, and there was never a mea culpa from him. He even tried to take credit for Trump’s victory and pushed the theory that the conservative things Trump was accomplishing were due to people like him keeping Trump’s feet to the fire. Give me a break. So he went from being a virulent Never Trumper to being a virulent critic of Never Trumpers. Never any acknowledgement that he was dead wrong during the election and actively opposed the true freedom movement lead by Trump.

I see it exactly the opposite. When it mattered, when he was the nominee and before the general election and with millions of listeners, he trashed Trump relentlessly.

Levin endorsed Trump the first week in September, 2016.

He often defended Trump and sometimes criticized him from that point forward.

Even when Levin criticized Trump, he still said that his listeners should vote for Trump.

If all of us had acted like Levin and Cruz in 2016, Hillary Clinton would be President right now, and our nation would be done-for.

You need to grow up and accept that fact.

I won’t trust either of them ever again.

Exactly right...

And who was the only alternative?

He was working for Hillary Clinton, pure and simple.

Even to this day, Levin criticizes people who were late in supporting Reagan. He holds a grudge but we’re somehow supposed to forgive him being Never Trump when it mattered most, when he won’t even acknowledge that fact. Not me.

I see it as you do: When it vitally mattered, he was with the enemy.

I think his repentance was largely of necessity, to keep his audience.

I knew exactly who and what Trump is for decades - and I was on the Trump Train the day he announced.

I have my issues with him, and will exercise my 1A Rights to criticise him (as I would any politician), but I am not surprised by his actions and successes.

That makes lowly me - and those like me - more savvy than the vaunted - and vastly overrated - pundits like Levin.

Compare and contrast Levin’s attitude towards Romney in 2012 compared to his attitude towards Trump in 2016. Levin was very critical of Romney during the primaries, but once he was nominated he got behind Romney whole heartedly. He even criticized those on the right who were critical of him once the primaries ended. The time for debate is over, he said, and it was time for conservatives to put aside their difference and unite to stop Obama. Different story with Trump in 2016. The bottom line is Levin is a loud mouth hypocrite and a phony. He put bruised ego above the country’s well being, and made it harder for Trump to be elected once he was the nominee.

“Levin: These NeverTrumpers get dumber by the minute...”

I don’t know, Levin seems to have been getting smarter, lately, at least.

You can call it anything you like, but the facts are on the table, and they DO NOT back you here.

So I take it you loathe Jim Robinson and Free Republic too then.

You need to stick to the facts and avoid making yourself worse than you already have.

I don’t hold it against Levin that he was a never-Trumper pre-election (though I wasn’t happy with him at the time).

Hold on now. Let’s not air brush history. Levin was a vile Never Trumper until nearly election day. I vividly recall driving home from an annual event in OCTOBER 2016 listening to him hurl invective at POTUS and his supporters. He was the only major national conservative radio figure to attack Trump’s grass roots supporters so viciously.

Once Trump won the nomination he, and me, where on board. Unlike McCain and Romney whom I didn’t vote for.

Nope. He spent many a show between the convention and election day prevaricating and insulting POTUS and his supporters.

I’m all grown up. Just pointing at the truth. Be a big boy (or girl whichever the case may be) and accept it.

I always have to chuckle when Levin’s pom pom wavers wanting to air brush history regarding The Great One’s vile taunts and insults directed at POTUS and his supporters until nearly election day.

Not really. Levin did little but suppress voter turnout for Trump. He thought Trump was going to lose and was salivating at the thought of an “I told you so” moment. It was clear when he mouth breathed his “pom pom waver” insults directed at us.
