Now the Sunrise Movement, likely the nations fastest-growing climate advocacy group, is planning a 14-stop tour meant to drum up grassroots support for a Green New Deal across multiple states, HuffPost has learned. Its the first leg of the groups effort to make the policy the defining issue of the 2020 election.
Were launching the Road to a Green New Deal Tour to activate the millions of Americans who are ready to fight for a Green New Deal but havent heard of it yet, Varshini Prakash, co-founder of Sunrise Movement, said by email. When you come out to a tour stop, well give you all the tools you need to spread the word within your own community, build support, and pressure your elected officials to take a stand.
In March and April, the Sunrise Movement will host events in Florida, California, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, Michigan and elsewhere. The tour builds off an intensive new online training program, where volunteers are coached via webinars on how to confront politicians and frame an issue as overwhelming as global warming in terms of clear, effective action. Each event will include in-person training sessions, and conclude with organizing meetings for new converts.

The giant sucking sound of green dollars down the toilet.
This is what we need to learn from. They are already out working at it. I know folks have jobs and that interferes. Still I think giving up a golf game or forgoing watching a football game etc etc and getting our message out is important
Who’s financing this freak show and its con men?
The All Brand New, Never Before, As Seen On TV ...
THE GREEN BAD DEAL!
Sounds like they are going to have a pretty good sized “carbon footprint”. What the hell is a Vashini Prakash and what the hell is he/she/it doing in my country?
... climate advocacy group ...
Wankers. All of them.
It should be called the bankrupt the country and send us back to the Middle Ages act.
An entire generation fresh from institutions of higher indoctrination. Untaught the most basic lessons of cause and effect that they learned in childhood. Now they are taught to turn off their brains and emote when confronted by inconvenient facts and viewpoints that run afoul of their programming. Cause and effect becomes want/desire and entitlement thereto.
They would campaign to throw kittens into wood chippera if that is what their leftist overlords told them.
Higher eds mission accomplished.
We are here to call on Democratic politicians, that we know are with us, who understand the climate science, to back up their words with action and support this select committee for a Green New Deal, said Varshini Prakash, founder and communications director of the movement. She called the committee the best solution on the table right now that will actually work to avert crisis.

Reminds me of Pharaoh, “so let it be written, so let it be done!” Never mind the unintended consequences.
The plan in a nutshell...
You pay 5X more for taxes and energy than you do now. Your power will be on ten hours a day if you are lucky. The price of everything you buy will also soar. You will enjoy living like a caveman.
The road to a New Green Deal is a muddy swamp.
There’s no lack of fools willing to part with their money. But so far pretty much all she’s done is talk. The point is that she’s the only freshman Rep who hit the ground running with a “plan”.
Where are the conservative or MAGA equivalents?
Its easy to make fun of her but just look at the impact she’s had thus far.
The late William Manchester wrote a book about a movement like this, years ago. It’s title was “A World Lit Only By Fire.” It’s where we’ll be headed back to if these dangerous loons get traction.
I wish one of these loons would knock on my door. I’d invite them inside and they’d never be heard from again. The threat they pose to America is great!
