President Trump wants to address the nation about the government shutdown on Tuesday night, and later in the week plans to travel to the southern border as part of his effort to persuade Americans of the need for a border wall — the sticking point in negotiations with Democrats who are eager to reopen shuttered agencies.
The White House did not immediately respond to questions about a request to television networks to carve out time for an Oval Office address. A person familiar with the request said the White House had asked to interrupt prime time programming on Tuesday.

I thought I saw it on here. If I remember correctly even a majority of democrats were for the wall.
This is the only place I go to be informed.

Not so. I can’t remember the specifics but there was at least one time when Obama was refused a request to make a prime time address.

After giving 10 billion additional taxpayer dollars to Mexico n central America.. i am unimpressed by the mathematical ability of our leadership. We could seal the border twice, but o no.. political bs games are so much better. Ridiculous.

I believe President Trump can lawfully declare “National Emergency”, and even give the lawful order to secure the border immediately, meaning to build the wall.
However, unless the White House and DoD are willing to defy the courts, state and federal, (which they have not done so far), this absolutely will be tied up in courts indefinitely. If Trump is president for eight years, the courts will have this tied up for eight years. This is what we are up against!
It would be awesome if they would defy the unlawful court orders, and just let the DNC and leftists take this all the way to the SCOTUS. But again, this is not how this White House has conducted business, even while knowing they are fully within their Constitutionally mandated responsibilities.
The global socialist elites will not bend on this, as it could potentially deny them their goal of a subjugated America, and their goal of a true, enforceable, centralized, global socialist government.
This is also what is in part motivating their ongoing Coup attempt against President Trump.
To them, this is war.
