The Cat Person parable is germane this week. As the new Congress convenes, with a record 102 women taking office, a crew of men in right-wing media and politics seems to believe theyve tolerated this whole women-in-power exercise for too long.
No wonder Pelosi is running the House, Warren is running for president, Tlaib is calling it as she sees it, and Ocasio-Cortez is dancing. Their enemies are losing strength, while theyre gaining it.

See, you’re doing it!! It was a harmless dance a few years ago. So what? She was having some fun in college. I thought she looked pretty damned hot myself (sue me).
The fact that she’s too young and inexperienced to be in Congress is totally disconnected from that.
When we give this chick any oxygen at all, we end up looking silly. She has virtually zero power in spite of her mouth. So stop feeding the beast!
