Some parts of one kind were accidentally shipped to Taiwan a long time ago, but they were returned according to official word both countries. Taiwan’s problem with having nukes is that the island is a small area for survivability in a nuclear exchange, compared to, for example, our own country. Also, Taiwan has trustworthy allies with nukes.

Taiwan has trustworthy allies with nukes.

Who would that be?

India? France? Great Britain? Israel?

Taiwan needs its own nukes targeted on Beijing, the 3 Gorges Dam and the port cities where an invasion will come from. Even though Taiwan has allies with nukes, the additional deterrent will make China less likely to start a conflict. And if there is a conflict, best to use them at the start of the fight.
